Plot outline
Charles Tatum, a down-on-his-luck reporter, takes
a job with a small New Mexico newspaper. The job is
pretty boring until he finds a man trapped in a
mine. He jumps at the chance to make a name for
himself by taking over and prolonging the rescue
effort, and feeding stories to major newspapers. He
creates a national media sensation and milks it for
all it is worth.
Cast (first billed only)
Kirk Douglas ........... Charles 'Chuck' Tatum
Jan Sterling ................. Lorraine Minosa
Robert Arthur .................... Herbie Cook
Porter Hall .................... Jacob Q. Boot
This is a proper of iMMORTALs release from June 23:rd
earlier this year. At first when I saw it I though, oh
man, that is blazing: imts does a 23-pre-retail pre!
After a closer look I noticed that they did not encode
from the Criterion at all, but from some R2 DVD I cant
barely find any information of except on Amazon.co.uk.
Since I didn't want to internal an encode from the R1
Criterion I was lucky to find an encoding flaw made by
imts. As the txd:s suggest, "MONO AC3 is not allowed,
in that case must encode to mono MP3", I'll use that
as a basis of this proper. The previous release used
an AC3 mono stream even though it says "192 kb/s tot,
stereo (2/0)" in G-spot (ref. txd again: MONO audio as
STEREO on source is considered a MONO source").
Samples and whatnot included. Also included a pic from
WaveLab to prove their stream really is mono.
Enjoy! And to iMMORTALs: no offence please :)
Ahoy there matey! We are a new group that
acts in the XviD scene, but with members
that are old and experienced. I don't
think we got much more to say right now,
just enjoy the releases.
We're currently looking for
# 10Mbit+ affils,
# Shells.
Greetings to every individual and groups
of the scene that we know and that knows
us back!
