Joe Maguire ist Amerikaner und versteckt sich in Belfast vor
seinem kriminellen Schwiegervater. Als eines Tages der unbe-
holfene Jimbo Reagan den lokalen Fischmarkt ausraubt, um seine
Spielschulden zurueck zu zahlen, ist Joe zur falschen Zeit am
falschen Ort. Jimbo flieht ausgerechnet in Joes Antiquitaeten-
geschaeft und nimmt ihn und seine Freundin Sophie als Geiseln.
Doch der Fischmarkt ist nur Fassade fuer die illegalen Machen-
schaften des Gangsters Mad Dog Flynn, dem Jimbo ohnehin Geld
schuldet. Mad Dog ist sauer und will den Antiquitaetenladen
mitsamt dem Dieb, den Beweisen und den Geiseln in Schutt und
Asche legen...
