This release breaks a lot of the current rules for 1080p Bluray releases so
here is why we still did it this way:
Video: The video track must be encoded with x264 at at least 8mbit, but on
BluRays like this one the video only consists of a static image. In this
case a black frame with the name of the song written in the centre.
The AVC/H264 stream on the BluRay is only 126 kbps, so we just left it as
it is.
Audio: Rules require that you extract the core from the DTS-HD MA track of
the disc, but the whole point of this BluRay is to give you the music in
its purest form, a high-bitrate 24bit 96kHz stream. Using the core
would defeat that purpose and you might as well just grab the CD FLAC
release. We decided to encode both the stereo, and the surround mix so you
can chose the right track depending on your audio setup. FLAC was chosen
because it compresses lossless while cutting the size of both tracks
roughly in half. Here is the info of the original tracks, taken with BDInfo:
LPCM Audio English 4608 kbps 2.0 / 96 kHz / 4608 kbps / 24-bit
LPCM Audio English 13824 kbps 5.1 / 96 kHz / 13824 kbps / 24-bit
Since we didn't encode the video track, and the audio uses a variable
codec, we couldn't abide by the size rules (multiple of 1120MB) either.
Now you may wonder, why not just release a COMPLETE.BLURAY?
This release contains all of the vital parts preserved in a lossless format,
while being 4GB compared to 16GB for the ISO.
I hope you will enjoy this release as much as we do.

Sometimes it feels like a mistake,
