reist nach Hongkong, um sein Schicksal zu klaeren. Vor Ort stoesst sie auf unueberwindbare
Blockaden. Ihre letzte Rettung scheint Hank Lee (Clark Gable), ein Deserteur der US-Armee und
Abenteurer, zu sein. Der hat zahlreiche Kontakte und so bringen sie in Erfahrung, dass Louis in
Gefangenschaft geraten ist. Auf ihrer gemeinsamen Suche kommen sich Hank und Jane naeher und er
verliebt sich in sie. Er weiss jedoch, dass sie sich nicht auf ihn einlassen kann, bis Jane ihren
Ehemann in Sicherheit waehnt. So setzt Hank alles daran Louis zu finden.
