It seems the guys over at EthNet believe I transcode the audio for my 720p releases.
Let me break this down in a few sections.
1. Audio
This I'm afraid is incorrect as the broadcast is AAC LC. I can't see how this
can be, as the broadcast is AAC LC but encapsulated into a LATM/LOAS header
which is used for audio synchronization within the audio stream.
The audio storage/transport is LATM/LOAS while the main audio itself
is AAC LC which is the audio profile that is never changed at all.
The only thing I change is the header from LATM/LOAS to ADTS while keeping the
main audio AAC LC untouched. ADTS is needed make it friendly for playback players,
this is just a minor issue I have to deal with each day. If a release was pred with
LATM/LOAS everyone would just kick up a fuss saying its not working. LATM/LOAS is
only used mainly for broadcasting thats why the support isn't that great compared to
ADTS. Please take a look at http://i.imgur.com/2fJwm7m.png
2. Video
Just because the sample of proof I pred was progressive this doesn't mean I have
any control over how its broadcasts, its down to each channel and each show that is
shown. Here is some proof: http://i.imgur.com/M3kKq1P.png
Maybe you did not Google this but I found this myself (and thanks to a friend)
"The Freeview HD platform has always been specified to provide a 1080p25 capability.
This is why STBs are mandated to have a 1080p50 output to enable seamless up-conversion
to a mode which is guaranteed to be present in all display devices"

3. Falsified Header
Now where do i start with this. It seems you believe I'm falsifing my headers.
This is incorrect as this is just an option thats only available in mkvmerge. I've even
took time to see what versions has this option, even v1.4.0 (cornflake girl) from 2005
had this option. http://i.imgur.com/mxqo0jR.png
All it does is use a static time and date that is all. Even CTU and other
groups have used it in the past without any issue until now, so why is there an issue now?
