Seems groups are cutting more and more of the credits off to win
these days. There's times when it's acceptable like if theres a live
action promo for 24 on a FOX cartoon or a promo for the local news
during the credits of a 9pm CW show or where the credits contain an ad
for a sofa store (GlobalHD does this alot) and then we have times like
this on Mad Men where the show ends abruptly on the first frame of black
someone can find and the end credit music is just a loud THUMP.
Our vote is that if there is anything remotely resembling show content before
or during the end credits, it should be kept. "Next time on", studio credits
with music etc. This is the second week our enjoyment of Mad Men has been disrupted
by people hacking and slashing to pre 30seconds sooner. It looks sloppy as fuck.
It's not Remarkable who is doing it either, DIMENSION has joined the fray.
Let's bring back some fucking craftmanship to tv encoding and not have it looked
like a barely thrown together burger you might find at McDonalds. Looks like a burger
(barely), tastes like a burger (barely) but is technically a burger.
