`:Alice Cooper, grandmaster of shock rock, is still going
`:strong in the 50th (!!!) year since founding the band that :'
`:bears his moniker. This double live album (plus Blu-Ray) was'
`:recorded at last year's Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany:'
`:and impresses with a clear and powerful sound.
`:For a live album it does not give the audience enough room :'
`:in the mix though and sounds a little bloodless at times.
`:That and the not superb choice of a setlist are the two
`:slightly disappointing things. Overall this set offers great'
`:entertainment though, with the big hits like No More Mr.
`:Nice Guy', School's out' and I'm 18' of course included
`:and played with huge enthusiasm and even the odd jam here
`:and there.
`:Especially the uber-hit Poison' sounds not quite like on
`:record, whilst smashers like Hey Stoopid' or Feed My
`:Frankenstein' blow the roof off as was to be expected. The :'
`:theatrical aspects, like Alice's beheading before I love
`:the Dead' come to life even on the audio version and evoke :'
`:images of the legendary stage shows, which you can fully
`:indulge in. For fans of the Coop as well as folks who want a'
`:good overview of all stages of his career!
